The paper starts with an overview of the Capes Portal, the largest digital library of scientific journals of Brazil, its history, evolution and of the technological alternatives for information retrieval on the web. Next, the paper presents a theoretical framework about information searching, construction of search strategies and information literacy. The research will use a qualitative approach.
